Road Closures – Thursday July 4th 2024

Please note that on Thursday, July 4th, several streets will be closed in West New York and other municipalities within Hudson County. Kindly factor this into your travel arrangements to avoid any inconvenience.

Thank you for your understanding and safe travels!

No Parking on Boulevard East (both sides of the street) from 6AM-11PM on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners want to make you aware that there will be no parking on Boulevard East (both side of the street) from 6AM-11PM on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

In addition, we will close both Boulevard East and River Road to traffic starting at 4PM on July 4th.

After 11 years, the Macy’s Fireworks display is coming back to the Hudson River.

Our main goal is to ensure that emergency vehicles (Police, Fire, and Ambulance) can move easily through the town. We want to ensure everyone has a safe day.

While road closures might be inconvenient, they are necessary because of the number of people coming to WNY and the surrounding area to view the fireworks. We are doing everything we can to avoid traffic jams and gridlock. We strongly suggest that residents stay in town and enjoy the fireworks.
